Daily Prompt: Burning down the house!

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Burning Down the House.”

Your home is on fire. Grab five items (assume all people and animals are safe). What did you grab? – Daily Post

God forbid such a thing ever happens, I will grab these five things I think.

1. Documents

I will totally run to grab the important documents folder which has my passport, driving license, and certificates. I just realised how realistic I can get. I always thought I was a very sentimental creature.

2. Letters

I have kept all the letters I have ever received over the years. They are a treasure I never want to lose. I want to keep them all as they contain love and affection.

3. Laptop

I just have a lot of information stored on my laptop in the form of essays, books, songs, and photos. My old laptop crashed last year and I lost all the data. I never want to go through that again!

4 & 5. I don’t know what else would I need. I think I will just grab whatever that I need at that point in time.

These are the things I want to keep with me all the time. Things I never want to lose. Things that help me survive in the world.
